Clayton Housing Legal Resource Center is part of The Clayton Pro Bono Project, which refers low income clients who cannot afford private representation to volunteer attorneys. Cases are screened thoroughly by Clayton Legal Aid attorneys. All cases are in Clayton County and must fall within the case priority and financial eligibility guidelines set by Legal Aid. Your skills and expertise can make a real and immediate impact on their lives.

Among one of the most impoverished counties in the metro area, the need for civil legal services in Clayton County is overwhelming.  Having limited resources means up to 80% of clients coming to Clayton Legal Aid are given advice on proceeding pro se with their legal matters.  Volunteers are needed to assist with family law, landlord tenant, consumer law and estate planning matters.  We gladly support our volunteers with training, forms and resources.
