She was previously a staff reporter at The Washington Post, where she was a founding writer for Wonkblog, and has also worked for The New Republic and Mother Jones. Before coming to Washington, she was based in Brazil and Southeast Asia, where she reported for the Economist, Wall Street Journal Asia, Slate, and the Christian Science Monitor, among other outlets. She was a 2010 fellow at UC-Berkeley’s Immigration Institute and is a graduate of Yale University.
She is a contributor to All In with Chris Hayes.
