The commission includes the attorney general, judges and lawyers from some of the state’s top law firms and companies. If any group could apply pressure on Scott and lawmakers to provide funding for legal aid and take other strong steps to close the civil justice gap, they could.
Labarga said the commission has made a “strong start” but added, “Certainly much more will need to be done.”
