Legal Services meets vital needs for low-income clients

While those facing criminal charges are, by law, provided an attorney when they cannot afford it; those with cases in civil court regularly go without representation and without access to courts and justice, absent help from organizations like LSNF.

After years employed as a janitor, Jim fell ill and was no longer able to work. Like many others, Jim and his wife Nancy had trouble keeping up with the amount of paperwork from medical bills, other bills and solicitation letters. They began to lose hope when they learned that their home of over 40 years had been foreclosed and the house already sold.

With that hope fading, they found Legal Services of North Florida.
