Coloradans receiving legal assistance from Colorado Legal Services are among our most vulnerable citizens, including families facing foreclosure or eviction, people trapped in abusive relationships, veterans denied rightfully earned benefits, seniors victimized by consumer scams, and disabled individuals denied access to necessary health care. Due to economic conditions, the number of people who qualify for legal services is at an all-time high; over 63.6 million Americans are now eligible for civil legal assistance.
