DETAILS
Three years ago, L.W. and his mother, S.W., sued the district, arguing that L.W. had received a “substantially different” and” inferior” education. Both mother and son are identified in court documents by their initials for privacy reasons. They were represented by Luz Henriquez, a lawyer with the Education Justice Program of Legal Services of Eastern Missouri, a nonprofit that represents low-income people for free.
