The company sued to evict her again in July. Copeland, now represented by Texas RioGrande Legal Aid, a nonprofit that provides legal services to those who can’t afford to hire an attorney, sought to have the case dismissed.
Copeland argued she is the rightful owner of the property because Texas Homes 247 “used deceptive or fraudulent representations to convince her to transfer legal title for less than one-tenth of the home’s value.”
