Just as millions more people are in need of (and becoming eligible for) free civil legal help due to job losses and other economic fallout from COVID-19, slashed interest rates and the overall financial climate are creating a massive and sudden funding crisis for legal aid providers. Right now “is the absolute worst time possible for a decrease in funding. It just is.”
